Gusto, by Joann Ingwerson, Junction City, OR.

S: GCH ++*B Hallcienda Anthony
(Sire to ++*B Hallcienda Frosty
Marvin)
D: Hallcienda Gayleen 4*M
He classified EX91 (90 90 95).
Born June 9, 1976 , He was dam raised as most of the animals
of the Hallcienda herd were. He was a square, stocky,
stylish, handsome kid, he had been selected to stay at the
Hallcienda Farm but Hallcienda was convinced to let him go,
thinking to keep his twin sister Glee, although she died
just before her first kidding. Which Hallcienda then wished
for Gusto back.
His first owner was Randy Dickman, Sandy, OR, however he was
sold the same year to Kristie Burr of Newberg, OR, and it
was Kristie that took him out to shows and finished him. Two
years later , Kristie sold out her herd and Gusto was
purchased by Karen Hermansen, Doreena, OR.
A few days after he was moved to Doreena, OR Gusto came
down with tetanus. With care from a local vet they were able
to pull him through and within a week he was breeding and
settling does.
In 1982 he came down with a severe case of Pasteurella
pneumonia that he had picked up at a show. Just days before
this Karen had lost GCH Con Jarl's Orange 2*M to
anaphylatic shock. Karen was distraught over this so Gusto
did not get the attention he should have. By the time they
realized how sick he was he was really sick. He was taken to
the vet and he did pull through.
Gusto's offspring consited of animals such as
GCH Nestucca Oaks Lily 2*M, Crimson Clover Gayletia
2*M, Crimson Clover Lily Marie 2*M, Royal Cedars Nealla
