Listed by State The Anglo Nubian or Nubian goat can be of any
color. Its distinctive characteristics are its long
floppy ears a and convex roman nose. They are one
of the larger breeds of the dairy goats. Their milk
tends to be higher in butterfat and protein then
the other breeds. The breed is of mixed origin and owes its
distinctive features to the imported goats of
India's Jumna Pari and Egypt's Zaribi type.
Crossing these with British dairy goats resulted in
the Anglo-Nubian which is the foundation of the
U.S. The average doe weighs 130-180 pounds. Nubian Buck
